هذا الكتاب يروي كيف إستطاع الإسلام السياسي في تركيا الوصول إلى سدة الحكم بعد سبعة عقود ونيف من إعلان كمال أتاتورك للجمهورية التركية عام 1923 وإلغاء الخلافة الإسلامية عام 1924 وقام \"أتاتورك\" بتغريب المجتمع التركي وربط تركيا بالغرب وتنكر للتاريخ والجغرافيا وعمل على فصل الأجيال التركية عن تاريخها العثماني، فرض القبعة بدلا من الطربوش وفرض السفور على النساء وابتعد عن القيم الإسلامية وسن القوانين تحت ذريعة تحرير المرأة وهي أقرب للإباحة منها للقوانين الغربية، حتى التي تبناها فطلبت الطلاق منه وفرض رفع الآذان باللغة التركية وفرض الحروف اللاتينية لكتابة اللغة التركية بدلا من الحروف العربية التي كانت تكتب بها.
