وقد جاء الكتاب بستة فصول، أولها تحدث عن تنامي الفكر الفلسفي المكاني عبر الأزمان والأفراد وثانيها تناول الأبعاد الفلسفية والمفهومية لعلم المكان وثالثها عن جدل العلاقة بين علم المكان والعلوم النظامية والزمانية والصورية بينما تناول رابعها جدلية وحدة علم المكان وثنائياته وفروعه، أما خامسها فقد تناول فلسفة الشمول في المعالجات المكانية المنهجية والبحثية، وآخر الفصول تحدث عن فلسفة علم المكان في إطار نهجها الكمي والإحصائي والرياضي.
