يحتوي هذا الكتاب على ثماني وحدات الوحدة الأولى تحتوي على مفهوم للوسائط المتعددة من حيث ماهيتها وأدواتها وعناصرها واستخدامها وأمثلة على تطبيقاتها عليها والوحدة الثانية تتكلم عن المكونات المادية للوسائط المتعددة والتي من أهمها كرت الصوت والماسحات الضوئية والأقراص الضوئية ومشغلاتها وكرتات العرض والوحدة الثالثة تم الحديث فيها عن برمجيات الوسائط المتعددة والوحدة الرابعة تم الحديث فيها عن الطرق المستخدمة في الوسائط المتعددة والوحدة الخامسة تم الحديث عن خطوات تصميم وتطوير تطبيق الوسائط المتعددة أما الوحدات الثلاث البقية فقد تم تركها للحديث عن برنامج الماكروميديا دايركتور حيث تم فيها أساسيات برنامج الدايركتور وعن كيفية التعامل معه ثم تم الحديث عن لغة اللنجو المستخدمة في هذا التطبيق.
