إذا كنت ممن يهتم لشؤون المسلمين ويود التعرف إلى الرقعة الجغرافية التي يشغلونها والحيز البشري والاقتصادي الذي يتربعون عليه فهذا (أطلس دول العالم الإسلامي) بين يديك تناول فيه المؤلف الدول الإسلامية التي شاركت في مؤتمرات منظمة المؤتمر الإسلامي وكانت خمسا وخمسين دولة، ثم ألحق بها الدول ذات الأغلبية المسلمة وليست من أعضاء المنظمة والأقاليم المسلمة ذات الحكم الذاتي، أو ضمن أراضي دولة أخرى والدول التي تتراوح نسبة المسلمين فيها ما بين (20 % و50 %) فهو يقدم مصورا لكل دولة مبينا عليه الحدود ثم الموقع في القارة التي تنتمي إليها الدولة بالألوان الهادئة المناسبة وفي الصفحة المقابلة للمصور : العلم والشعار والعاصمة والمساحة وعدد السكان ونسبة المسلمين واللغة الرئيسة والنقد المتداول، مع لمحة تاريخية موجزة تشمل زمن دخول الإسلام إليها، أبرز الأحداث التاريخية، تاريخ الاستقلال إن كانت ممن استُعمر وأخيرا لمحة اقتصادية موجزة : زراعة، ثروات معدنية، أهم الصادرات ومما زاد في فائدة الكتاب ذلك الفهرس الميسر، الذي جعل من الكتاب صفحة مفتوحة يصل القارئ إلى مبتغاه بأيسر طريق وأقصر وقت ومع كل ما سبق، فقد تميز أسلوب الكتاب ببساطة العرض وغزارة المادة.
