يمثل هذا الكتاب وهي رؤية تكونت من التقاء عنصرين أولهما الثقافة الخاصة بالمجتمع الذي قدم منه اولئك الرحالة وثانيهما المشاهدة الميدانية والمعايشة اليومية لمجتمع لا ينتمي إلى تلك الثقافة ومجتمع له ثقافته وتاريخه المختلفين وبالتالي له قيمة المختلفة ونظرته الخاصة إلى العالم مثل هذا اللقاء الذي يبدو من وجوه كثيرة لقاء بين عالمين مختلفين أثمر لدى بعض الرحالة وعيا جديدا برحابة المجتمع الإنساني وتنوعه وامكانية تعايشه وتفاهمه في ظل أحترام متبادل لخصوصياته وقيمه وأساليب حياتة.
