موضوع هذا الكتاب هو دراسة الزمن في اللغة العربية في ضوء السياق اللغوي مع التطبيق على نصوص عربية متنوعة لم تكن شريحة مألوفة لدى النحاة واللغويين وهي أول دراسة يقوم بها دارس عربي على المستويين النظري والتطبيقي في هذا المجال ويهدف هذا الكتاب بيان حد الثراء الزمني الذي يفوق القسمة الثلاثية (الماضي والحاضر والمستقبل) بأربعة أقسام أخري وهي (ما قبل الزمن الماضي ومابعد الزمن الماضي وماقبل الزمن المستقبل وما بعد الزمن المستقبل) أيضا يهدف الكتاب للكشف عن الدلالة الزمنية للمصدر الصريح في ضوء سياق النص القرآني.
