الهدف الرئيسي من البحث هو بناء نموذج مقترح لبرنامج تلفزيوني للتوعية البيئية. البرنامج المقترح يهدف إلى إيجاد وعي بيئي لدى المشاهدين، يعرفهم بالمحيط الذي يعيشون ويمارسون فيه نشاطاتهم المختلفة ويقوي اهتماماتهم بالبيئة والمشكلات المتصلة بهم، ويزودهم بالمعلومات والحوافز والمهارات التي تؤهلهم فرادى وجماعات للعمل على حل هذه المشكلات البيئية (كمشكلة التلوث) والحيلولة دون ظهور مشكلات جديدة مستقبلا.
