رواية ميرال استعرضت حياة مناضلة وعَلم من أعلام التربية والمجتمع، كرّست حياتها لخدمة شعبها منذ النكبة 1948، ورعاية الأيتام والمشرّدين والفقراء وأبناء الشهداء، فكانت نموذجًا فريدًا للمربية والمعلمة والأم المخلصة لأمتها ووطنها، واهتزّ الحيّ العربيّ في شرقيّ القدس في 13.9.1994، عندما تسرّب نبأ وفاة المربية المناضلة هند الحسيني بين بيوته. حمل الاصدار الذي احتوى على 284 صفحة من القطع المتوسط إهداءً مؤثرًا، إلى روح هند الحسيني قالت فيه: إلى روح هند ... الّتي حضنت المئات والآلاف من الأطفال المعدمين الذين رعتهم في دار الطّفل الّتي أنشأتها في القدس من مالها ومُلكها الخاصّ، وممّا حصلت عليه من تبرّعات ودعم متواصل.. وممّا جعل من دار الطّفل مركزًا أصيلًا.. لتعليم وتربية جيل من ضحايا الاحتلال.. أوصلهم إلى التّعليم العالي والحياة الكريمة.. والعمل.. في أصعب الظّروف الّتي مرّت بها فلسطين.
