تناول الكتاب للمفكر الاقتصادي ورجل الأعمال الأمريكي \"روبرت كيوساكي الأجابة عن سؤال \"لماذا يزداد الأغنياء غنى\"، ورصد العديد من العوامل التي تؤدي الاستمرار الفجوة في الاتساع بين الأغنياء ومن عداهم، ويلفت \"كيوساكي\" النظر إلى حقيقة بسيطة للغاية أن الأموال بوسعها أن تخلق المزيد من الأموال، فمن لديه فائض من الأموال عما هو مطلوب لتلبية احتياجاته بوسعه أن يستثمر تلك الأموال لتنمو، وكلما كان الفائض كبيرا، كان العائد المنتظر أكبر، ولذا فإن الطبقات الأفقر تعاني مثلا من دفع الضرائب، أما الأغنياء فيجندون المحاسبين والخبراء القانونيين بغية التأكد من دفع الحد الأدنى من الضرائب بحيث يضمنون إستمرار نمو ثرواتهم.
