يتحدث هذا الكتاب عن الشعراء في فلسطين تجد الشعراء الفلسطينيون ينقسمون إلى عدة أقسام أولهم المرابطون في الداخل أي الذين لم يخرجوا من مدنهم وقراهم وقد أطلقت عليهم عدة تسميات كلها صحيحة مثل شعراء الأرض المحتلة وشعراء الداخل أو شعراء المقاومة أو شعراء 48. وأما القسم الثاني هم الشعراء الذين بقوا في فلسطين أي في غزة والضفة وهم الذين تخلصوا من بعض القيود الصهيونية وبقوا في بلادهم وقراهم. وأما القسم الثالث فهم شعراء الشتات الذين خرجوا بعد نكبة 48 أو ولدوا في الشتات من البلاد التي حط فيها الشعراء رحالهم وهم الذين أطلق عليهم شعراء الشتات.
