الكتاب عبارة عن حكاوي يحكيها المؤلف عن أو مع نجوم الفن الجميل، منهم من مات ومنهم من يعيش وسطنا حتى اللحظة، لايسرد الكاتب حكايته من مجرد القراءة او السمع، لكنه يحكي عن موقف بعينه ولقاء وحوار في جزئية خاصة، وليس مجرد حوار صحفي أجراه ويعيد نشره، من أبرز الحكايات في الكتاب حكايته مع النجم المتفرد قيمة وقامة احمد زكي، وكان محور الحديث فيلمه \"كابوريا \" الذي لم يخرج الجمهور منه على مختلف ثقافته الا \" بقصة شعر\" حسن هدهد، وكيف تسبب هذا الأمر في حزن أحمد زكي وإحساسه بالتقصير ربما من ناحيته او ناحية المخرج في توصيل الرسالة الخطيرة التي أرادها الفيلم أن تصل.
