يتناول الكتاب مختارات من الشعر المعاصر في أمريكا ... نظرا لصعوبه الحديث المفصل عن الكتابه الشعريه لدى كل دوله من دول أمريكا اللاتينيه على حده، أو الحديث عن كل حركه من حركات التجديد الشعرى فيها بشكل مفصل ؛ فإن هذا الكتاب يقدم نماذج لتلك الكتابات، مع مقدمه صغيره للتعريف بكل شاعر ؛ حتى يمكن الإلمام بشىء من المعرفه حول كل منهم، ونترك للقارئ أن يتعرف اللاتينيه، من خلال تلك القصائد التى اختيرت من بين آلاف القصائد التى يمكن أن تصلح للترجمه لتوسيع دائره معرفتنا بهذا الشعر.
