تناول المصنف رحمه الله هذه الآيه بالتفسير مع قوله تعالى : (ولله على الناس حج البيت من استطاع إليه سبيلا) فذكر فيها عبارات لطيفة، وإشارات منيفة، وقد أطال النفس فيها، وجمع كلامه من عدة كتب في التفسير والتاريخ بما لا تراه مجموعاً في مكان واحد على غرار ما صنع رحمه الله ههنا. وفي ثنايا هذه الرسالة كثير من المباحث اللغوية والفقهية والحديثية، مما يتعلق بالآيتين الكريمتين. وقد قدمت للرسالة بمقدمة طويلة تعال الكتاب تقريبا، تكلمت فهيا عن بيت الله الحرام، وتعرضت فيها لأشياء كثيرة لم يذكرها المصنف، لأنها لا تتعلق بالآيتين، ولكن أردت بذلك تتميم ما صنعه، حتى يكون الكتاب جامعاً لغالب ما كتبه أهل العلم مما يتعلق ببيت الله الحرام من أول بنائه.
