النسوية وحقوق المرأة حول العالم توضح المؤلفة ميشيل أ. بالودي فى مقدمة الكتاب أن هناك عددا كبيرا من المواقف التى ترمى باللوم على المرأة فى كافة الأحوال والظروف، فدائما ما تبقى النظرة الذكورية هى المسيطرة، وتستطرد لأن عمل المرأة لا ينجز أبدا ويدفع له أقل مما يستحقه أو لا يدفع له أصلا، أو أنه ممل أو مضجر، وأننا أول ما يطرد، وما نبدو عليه أهم مما نفعله، وإذا ضربنا فلا بد أننا استحققنا ذلك، ولو دافعنا عن حقوقنا فإننا عدوانيات و\"غير أنثويات\" وإن لم نفعل فإننا مثال للإناث الضعيفات، ولو أردنا الزواج فإننا خارجات لاقتناص رجل، وإن لم نفعل فإننا غير سويات.. وغيرها من المواقف التى تنظر للمرأة نظرة دونية فى كل الأحوال.
