يهدف هذا الكتاب إلى معرفة كيفية التدريب على تشخيص سبب صعوبة القراءة لدى من تم انتقاؤهم وتعرف أنهم من ذوي صعوبات القراءة، وذلك بهدف تحديد سبب الصعوبة في القراءة، كل ذلك بالطبع بعد أن نؤصل لماهية القراءة في ضوء العديد من الرؤى والتوجهات، والوصول إلى العمليات الفرعية وتحت الفرعية التي تكونها، وحدد هذا الكتاب عمليات القراءة تحديدا إجرائيا، مع ضرب أمثلة لكيفية قياس كل عملية للوقوف على السبب المحتمل لصعوبة القراءة ؛ وبذلك يكون هذا الكتاب قد اتخذ المنحى العملي مع شرح واف لكيفية التدريب ميدانيا، وإجراء البحوث في انتقاء ذوي صعوبات القراءة، ثم كيفية تشخيص السبب عمليا تمهيدا للعلاج.
