كتاب أيام مع الرئيس هواري بو مدين، يحوي الكتاب إلهام حقائق تاريخية لا غنى عنها لفهم مرحلة حكم الرئيس الراحل هواري بومدين، التي طبعت جزائر ما بعد الاستقلال، حيث يتناول الدكتور عميمور بأسلوبه الشيق، ذكرياته مع الراحل الكبير، بداية من تسلم عمله برئاسة الجمهورية في الفاتح جوان 1971، مرورا بذكريات زيارات وتنقلات الرئيس بومدين إلى الخارج، ولقائه بزعماء العالم، وعلاقاته بهم، على غرار زيارته التاريخية للصين، واللقاءات بكبار قادة العالم في ذلك الوقت. كما يتناول الكتاب، بالتفصيل، ملابسات أول زيارة رسمية قام بها رئيس فرنسي للجزائر، وهو الرئيس جيسكار ديستان في مارس 1975، وكذا حادثة سقوط طائرة وزير الخارجية بن يحيى، وملابسات وفاة الرئيس بومدين.
