يتناول كتاب (تاريخ المغرب منذ الاستقلال) والذي قام بتأليفه بيير فيرمورين في حوالي (230) صفحة من القطع المتوسط موضوع (تاريخ المغرب) الكتاب يعالج فيه الكاتب إشكالات المغرب ما بعد الاستقلال، وصراعات القصر وحزب الاستقلال حول السلطة، والرؤية السياسية لكل منهما لمغرب ما بعد الاستقلال. فنجد ما أن أعلن استقلال البلاد حتى وجد محمد الخامس نفسه في مواجهة حزب الاستقلال القوي، الذي ربط وجوده بالاستقلال كما تبين المادة الثانية من القانون المنضم لحزب الاستقلال لسنة 1946 التي تنص على تحقيق استقلال البلاد و وحدتها.
