يثير المؤلف جملة من القضايا و لعل أهمها رهان التعليم، الذي صار مرتبطا بما هو دنيوي، والحال أنه لو \"أسسنا وجودنا التعليمي على تحقق هذا المطلب )ربط العلم بتحقيق السعادة الدنيوية و الأخروية( وبينا ذلك لتلامذتنا و طلبتنا لبصرناهم بالهدف الحقيقي من تلقي العلوم ولذهبت آمالهم و مطامحهم أبعد مما تذهب إليه اليوم، غير أن كل دروسنا تتعلق بالعلم لذاته، بل أكثر من ذلك بمطالب دنيوية مثل تحصيل العلم ولقمة العيش\"، إنها دعوة صريحة إلى وجوب الاستناد إلى المرجعية الدينية الإسلامية، يوكدها بقوله \"و تنوسيت المرجعية الإسلامية المتينة المتسعة للعلم و التربية في مختلف التوجهات المعرفية، رغم أن المرجعيات التربوية الرسمية تؤكد على ذلك بكل وضوح وشفافية\".
