لقد صنف العديد من العلماء والكتاب الإسلاميين وغير الإسلاميين المصنفات العديدة التي تحدثت عن فضائل وبركات بلاد الشام، وأرخ المؤرخون عنها وكتب الأدباء والرحالة في وصفها وتغنى الشعر في جمالها وكيف لا وقد أثنى عليها خالق السماوات والأرض وذكر لنا أنها بلاد مباركة، وحث رسول الله - صلى الله عليه وسلم - على سكناها والمأوى إليها وخاصة في آخر الزمان لأنها ستكون معقل وفسطاط أهل الإسلام وقت وقوع الملاحم - كما أوضحنا ذلك بين ثنايا الكتاب.
