البلدان اليمانية عند ياقوت الحموى كتاب لاسماعيل بن على الأكوع يتناول فيه السيرة الذاتية للرجل المجهول الذي حير الكثير وهو اديب ومؤلف موسوعات وخطّاط من أصل رومي اشتغل بالعلم وأكثر من دراسة الأدب، وقد سمى نفسه (عبد الرحمن). وأهم مؤلفات ياقوت الحموي كتاب (معجم البلدان) الذي ترجم وطبع عدة مرات وورد في كتاب النجوم الزاهرة في ملوك مصر والقاهرة.
