في هذا الكتاب الهام تحدث الشيخ محمد متولي الشعراوي عن السحر والحسد، وماهيتهما، ورأي الشرع في مثل هذه الأمور وقد أوضح بالأدلة الدامغة حرمانية السحر والحسد ووضح أسباب حرمانيتهما، كذلك يتناول قصص السحر مابين سيدنا موسى وسيدنا سليمان، ويقدم لنا بعض التوضيحات التي تخص السحر والسحرة، وكيفية التحصن منهما. والكتاب مكون من ستة فصول، تحدث في الأول عن القوى الخفية في الكون، وفي الثاني يتحدث عن ماهية السحر، والثالث عن هاروت وماروت، والرابع والخامس عن الرسول والسحر والاستعانة بالجن والتفريق بين المرء وزوجه وعدة موضوعات أخرى، وفي الفصل الأخير يتحدث عن الحسد.
