تعاني الهوية العربية الجامعة من مشكل صياغة المفهوم وأبجدية التطبيق، فالسلطة المطلقة في بعض الأقطار وما يجاريها من تفرد في الحكم قد أفرزت مواطنا عربيا مسلوبا للهوية، منحرفا عن نهج المجتمع الافتراضي للأمة العربية وما تحويه من قيم ومبادئ وأفكار يجب أن تكون، مما ولد مجتمع يعيش في عالم التبعية وينهل من كل طيف جزء وخليط من الأفكار التي أفقدت الهوية العربية هويتها الجامعة ونحن في ظل تلك الأزمة بحاجة إلى خلفية فكرية واعية تتشكل من تكاتف النخب المثقفة الواعية في شتى الميادين لتحديد أبعاد القرار المحدد للإطار العام للمجتمع الافتراضي والذي يؤمن باستقلال النهج واحترام تعدد الآراء، إضافة إلى تقبل التعددية في إطار وحدة المفاهيم والتاريخ المشترك والدين واللغة.
