يرصد كتاب «حصاد السنين» المحطات المهمة في مسيرة الشارقة الثقافية التي بدأت منذ تأسيس دائرة الثقافة والإعلام في العام 1981 عندما أطلق صاحب السمو حاكم الشارقة شعاره الاستراتيجي «كفانا من ثورة الكونكريت ولنتحول إلى بناء الثقافة» ويعني البناء الثقافي في مسيرة سموه توفير بنى أساسية وخدمات ومشاريع وتنمية بشرية تحقق للمواطن رقيا فكريا وطمأنينة وراحة نفسية اجتماعية وأفقا للحوار مع الثقافات الأخرى من منطلق الندية والتفاعل والأخذ والرد والحوار رغم الاختلاف لا الخلاف.
