نقدم كتاب مبادئ علم الخرائط (الكارتوجرافيا) لكل المشتغلين من الطلاب والدارسين وخاصة طلاب الجغرافيا والخرئط حيث يهدف هذا الكتاب إلى تزويدهم بالمعارف والمهارات التي يمكن توظيفها في ميادين الحياة العملية اليومية، وتعد الخرائط أهم الوسائل العلمية التى يلجأ إليها الجغرافى سواء كان دارسا أو معلما، و ذلك لتعاظم وأهمية دورها، فهى الأداة التى يمكن أن توزع من خلالها المعلومات الجغرافية، ولعل هذة الحقيقة قد حذى ببعض الكتاب القول بأن الجغرفيا ليست شيئا بدون الخريطة و من الصعب علينا أن نتفهم أى حقيقة جغرافية دون الاستفادة بالخرائط.
