في هذا الكتاب حاولت ترتيب ما كان في حياتي وحياة جيلي في فترتي الطفولة والشباب الأولى، السبعينيات، من أشياء تافهة وعادية وغير لافتة وبسيطة ومع تذكري تلك السنوات، رأيت أنها أكثر من عقد ذي معنى لدى جيلنا، بل هو عقد آخر محمل بمعان مختلفة نقلنا إلى عقد آخر وأثناء ذلك كبرنا ولا أدري إن كان كبرنا، أم تلك البراءة العجيبة ما يعصر قلبي ويمكن للآخرين أن يسموا عقد جيلنا أسماء مختلفة، ولكنني أريد أن أسميه \"مرحلة الحرص\".
