يتناول كتاب بعنوان (منظمة الوحدة الأفريقية 1973-1990) للدكتورة عذراء شاكر الهلالي والذي يأتي نتيجة لأهمية منظمة الوحدة الأفريقية ولعدم دراسة جهودها، وما جرى عليها من تطور في هيكلها الإداري وزيادة عدد الدول الأعضاء، فضلا عن كثرة الأحداث السياسية منذ عام 1973 لغاية عام 1990، وحاولت الباحثة من خلاله توضيح أهمية التفاعل بين التأريخ والسياسة، الذي يسمح باستنباط الرؤى المرتبطة بديناميكية العلاقات بين منظمة الوحدة الأفريقية والحكومات والمنظمات الدولية والإقليمية الأخرى. من جانبها ثمنت عمادة الكلية في بابل الجهود القيمة التي حققت هذا الإنجاز، والذي يعد امتدادا إلى سلسة الإنجازات المتواصلة التي يحققها تدريسيو كليتنا والتي من شأنها الارتقاء بالمسيرة العلمية خدمة لعراقنا الحبيب.
