الكتاب هو المجلد الثامن من موسوعة تاريخ الفن المعاصر \" العين تسمع والأذن ترى \" يضم الحضارات الإنسانية وفنونها بعد فن الكهوف في العصر الحجري القديم وحتى فنون ق 19 بدأ العمل بالمجلد 1963 عن الفن الفارسي القديم وتاريخ الأجناس التي تكون منها الشعب الإيراني وعقائدهم وأساطيرهم وشخصياتهم الإلهية والبطولية - ونشأة قورش وأردستير وفنون الإيرانيين والميديين وعلاقتة فنون الإيرانيين والميديين بالأساطير والعقائد والبيئة والأساطير والعقائد وعن كنز \"جيحون \" الذي يرجع تاريخه إلى ق 6 ، 7 ق .م واللوحات الذهبية التي يحمل أشخاصها حزمة الأغصان باعتبارها قرابين لآلهة المعبد وأيضا عن فنون البارثيون والأخميين والساسانيين وملوكهم ورمزية فنونهم ومعابدهم ونشأة دولتهم.
