Overview
موانىء المشرق هو الاسم الذي كان يطلق على تلك المجموعة من المدن التجارية التي كان المسافرون الأوروبيون يعبرونها إلى الشرق. وكانت هذه المدن بوتقة تنصهر فيها اللغات والقادات والمعتقدات، وعوالم هشة بناها التاريخ متمهلا قبل الإطاحة بها وتحطيم حياة الكثيرين. و«عصيان» بطل هذه الرواية، هو أحد هؤلاء الأشخاص الذين عصفت بهم رياح الأقدار، فحياته لم تكن أكثر من قشة في مهب الريح، وسط احتضار السلطنة العثمانية، والحربين العالميتين والمآسي التي لا تزال حتى اليوم تعصف بالشرق الأدنى.
