Overview
يتناول هذا الكتاب تاريخ الدولة العربية في إسبانية منذ الفتح حتى سقوط الخلافة، وهو مقسم إلى قسمين رئيسيين : الأول تناول تاريخ الأندلس مع بداية سيطرة العرب عليها، بما في ذلك فتوحات المغرب وذلك حتى سقوط الخلافة المركزية في دمشق... وانتهاء بالفترة الانتقالية بين اضمحلال هذه الأخيرة ومجيء عبد الرحمن بن معاوية الداخل إلى الأندلس، والثاني تناول الدولة الأموية المستقلة ومعها فترات الإمارة والخلافة وأخيرا الدولة العامرية، التي كانت آخر مظهر من مظاهر الحكم المركزي والسيادة العربية الفعلية في الأندلس، حيث تشرذمت بعد ذلك إلى دويلات متعددة عرفت \"بالطوائف\".
