يتضمن هذا المجلد يوميات الأستاذ أكرم زعيتر خلال السنوات 1935-1939 ،وقد حفلت الفترة التي تناولتها هذه اليوميات بصفحات رائعة من النضال الفلسطيني: من إنشاء قيادات جماعية كاللجان القومية في القدس والمؤتمر القروي في نابلس، وعربية كالمؤتمر القومي العربي في بلودان، والمؤتمر البرلماني إلى تظاهرات وإضرابات في فلسطين وفي غيرها من المواطن العربية... إلى الجهاد بالسلاح الذي انتشر في البلاد والذي سقط في ميدانه رهط كريم من الشهداء المعروفين والمجهولين... إلى غير ذلك من ضروب التحرك في مقارعة الظلم والعدوان في أكثرهما، وعاملا مع غيره من العاملين في إذكاء لها، بل مشاركا كان الأستاذ زعيتر مشاهدا الشعلة وبث نورها في أنحاء البلاد. من هنا تأتي أهمية هذه اليوميات الغنية بالوثائق. إلى جانب ذلك فقد ألحق بها مجموعة من الصور مختارة من محفوظات المؤلف، تسجل بعض الأحداث البارزة أو الشخصيات العاملة في تلك الفترة.
