يتحدث هذا الكتاب عن الناقلين من العربية إلى اللاتينية في مدينة طليطلة التي تجمعت فيها عدة شعوب وضمت مكتبات عربية عديدة لمؤلفين عرب وغير عرب كما يتحدث عن التأثير الذي أحدثه هذا النقل من العربية إلى اللاتينية في تلك المدينة وفي غيرها من المدن الإسبانية المستردة من العرب مثل برغش وسرقسطة وبرشلونة وأشبيلية، ثم عن مدرسة الطب في سلرنه بإيطالية وازدهارها بعد أن تطعمت بالطب العربي الذي أوصله إليها قسطنطين الإفريقي.
