يعالج الكتاب موضوعات تقدير جودة مياه الري والطرق المستخدمة في التحليل وتتطرق موضوعات الكتاب إلى المواصفات السعودية والخليجية والدولية للحكم على نوعية المياه ويحتوي الكتاب على موضوعات استخدام مصادر للمياه غير مستغلة لإعادة استخدامها ونتائج التجارب التي استخدمت بها ويحتوي الكتاب على تسعة فصول، خصص الفصل الأول لكفاءات نقل مياه الري في المملكة وتحسين نظم الري في حين خصص الفصلين الثاني والثالث لمناقشة خواص الماء وتلوث مياه الري وتناقش مسائل مشاكل مياه الري من حيث الملوحة وإدارة مياه الري والحكم على جودتها في الفصول الرابع إلى السادس ونوقشت موضوعات استخدام المياه إلى ثبت صلاحيتها للري في الفصل السابع وخصص الفصلان الأخيران منه للطرق العملية لتحليل المياه.
