يشتمل الكتاب على سيرة الكاتب من خلال مسيرة شعبه الفلسطيني على مدار نصف قرن، أضاءت الكثير من الأحداث الكبرى، بالوطن والنزوح العام 1967، مرورا بطفولة الفلسطيني التي هجرها الاحتلال وأيام الدراسة، فالجامعة وما شهدته حقبة سبعينيات القرن الماضي من صعود وطني أرهص للانتفاضة الأولى (1987 ميلادي)، بكل تفاصيلها العبقرية الجسورة وصولا إلى منمنمات يومية، عكست مقطعا عميقا للحياة في مدينة القدس وانتهاء بتصوير حقبة العذاب الممرض الذي عاشه الفلسطيني في المعتقلات وأيام الاجتياح والانقلاب على كل ما تم الاتفاق عليه واستباحة المبادئ والمواثيق.
