يتناول الكتاب شهادة المؤلف الصحافي الهندي بي. جي. إبراهام حول السفينة «دارا» الملقبة بـ«تايتانيك الخليج»، تلك الكارثة المجهولة، لاسيما أن انفجارها في الثامن من أبريل عام 1961 على بعد ثلاثة أميال من ساحل إمارة أم القيوين، أدى إلى موت وفقد نحو 236 مسافرا من ركاب الباخرة بينهم إماراتيون، كما توفي اثنان بعد إنقاذهما تأثرا بالحروق التي أصابتهما، بينما نجا 485 مسافرا.
