يتناول هذا البحث جانبا من جوانب القانون والعلاقات الدولية في الإسلام وهو قواعد القانون الدولي الإنساني والقواعد العليا في قانون القتال. ولقد تمت معالجة هذا الموضوع من خلال عدة نقاط تمثلت في التمييز بين المقاتلين وغير المقاتلين والتعرف على مدى مشروعية وسائل العنف والإغاظة وتحريم المثلة والتحريق ومدى مشروعية الخداع الحربي وأحكام الجواسيس. ولقد انتهى البحث إلى جملة من الاستنتاجات الهامة لعل من أبرزها أن الحرب في الإسلام لها آداب رائعة وتنظيم عال وأحكام ضابطة لسيرها وإدارتها. كذلك أوضحت النتائج أن غير المقاتلين في الإسلام كالنساء والأطفال والعجزة لهم حماية تامة في القتال، بينما في الأنظمة الأخرى وفي الحروب الحديثة كانت الغالبية الساحقة من ضحايا الغارات الجوية هي النساء والأطفال.
