يوضح هذا الكتاب الدور الذى لعبته هذه الجالية في المجتمع المصري في الفترة من (1929 م-1949 م) بداية من صدور أول قانون للجنسية المصرية، وحتى نهاية عهد الامتيازات الأجنبية في مصر حيث تعد الجالية الفرنسية من أقدم وأهم الجاليات التي سكنت مصر في التاريخ الحديث وخاصة في عهد محمد على وأسرته حيث لستعان بهم محمد على في نهضته الاقتصادية وخاصة الطبقة العليا منهم بهم ثقافيا واجتماعيا.
