Breast cancer is the most prevalent malignancy among women. Doxorubicin (Dox) resistance was one of the major obstacles to improving the clinical outcome of breast cancer patients. The purpose of this study was to investigate the relationship between the FABP signaling pathway and Dox resistance in breast cancer. The resistance property of MCF-7/ADR cells was evaluated employing CCK-8, Western blot (WB), and confocal microscopy techniques. The glycolipid metabolic properties of MCF-7 and MCF-7/ADR cells were identified using transmission electron microscopy, PAS, and Oil Red O staining. FABP5 and CaMKII expression levels were assessed through GEO and WB approaches. The intracellular calcium level was determined by flow cytometry. Clinical breast cancer patient’s tumor tissues were evaluated by immunohistochemistry to determine FABP5 and p-CaMKII protein expression. In the presence or absence of FABP5 siRNA or the FABP5-specific inhibitor SBFI-26, Dox resistance was investigated utilizing CCK-8, WB, and colony formation methods, and intracellular calcium level was examined. The binding ability of Dox was explored by molecular docking analysis. The results indicated that the MCF-7/ADR cells we employed were Dox-resistant MCF-7 cells. FABP5 expression was considerably elevated in MCF-7/ADR cells compared to parent MCF-7 cells. FABP5 and p-CaMKII expression were increased in resistant patients than in sensitive individuals. Inhibition of the protein expression of FABP5 by siRNA or inhibitor increased Dox sensitivity in MCF-7/ADR cells and lowered intracellular calcium, PPARγ, and autophagy. Molecular docking results showed that FABP5 binds more powerfully to Dox than the known drug resistance-associated protein P-GP. In summary, the PPARγ and CaMKII axis mediated by FABP5 plays a crucial role in breast cancer chemoresistance. FABP5 is a potentially targetable protein and therapeutic biomarker for the treatment of Dox resistance in breast cancer.

In the field of education, ongoing processes, and optimal schoolwork outcomes require educational leadership, especially in developing countries, due to the lack of sustainable teaching performance and effective leadership. The present study aims to examine the mediating role of teachers’ commitment to transformational leadership and sustainable teaching performance. The sample of the study was selected using a stratified random sampling technique. Out of the 450 copies distributed to the participants, only 374 were retrieved as valid. The hypotheses of the study were tested using PLS–SEM. The findings showed a positive effect of transformational leadership on teachers’ commitment. Moreover, transformational leadership was also found to positively impact teachers’ performance. In contrast, the teachers’ commitment was revealed to positively affect sustainable teaching performance. Finally, the study showed that the teachers’ commitment mediated the relationship between transformational leadership and sustainable teaching performance. This study is unique for being among the few studies that examine the effects of principals’ transformational leadership. It provides educational leaders and policymakers with significant insights by providing a roadmap that aids in understanding the most influential factors on teaching performance sustainability. Consequently, this study holds significant practical relevance for leaders in the field of education and policymakers, as they provide valuable insights into policies and practices that can be implemented to foster sustainability in the school environment.

With the rapid digitalization of healthcare information and the increasing dependability on online health resources, it has become crucial to understand digital health literacy and the use of emerging AI technologies like ChatGPT among stakeholders. This is of particular importance in the United Arab Emirates which has the highest internet penetration rates.
This study aimed to assess eHealth literacy and the factors influencing it among university students in the United Arab Emirates. Their attitudes towards ChatGPT use were also explored. Data from participants, studying in the public universities of UAE, was collected between April-July 2024 using eHEALS and TAME Chat GPT instruments.
Results indicated a mean eHealth literacy score of 29.3 out of 40, with higher scores among females and those in health-related disciplines. It was also found that students with higher eHealth literacy perceived ChatGPT as more useful in healthcare, despite their concerns about its risks and potential to replace healthcare professionals.
The findings from the study underscore the need of development of tailored digital health curricula, to enhance eHealth literacy particularly in subgroups showing lower literacy scores. Moreover, it is also imperative to develop guidelines for responsible and ethical AI use in health information seeking.
