Political Conflict News on Twitter
2021
Objectives: The main purpose of this article is to determine whether there is a common intermedia agenda-setting among Kuwaiti Twitter news accounts during a series of political developments. Using Kuwait as a case study, this article compared the topics that were covered by two media platforms on Twitter, namely Almajles news (@almajles) and Khabar Ajel news (@breakingkw). In addition, the study investigated how these accounts reflected on the public agenda-setting by examining the users' comments as a measurement of the public agenda. Method: A total of 604 news stories were analyzed using a con tent analysis methodology. Results: The study found that Twitter news accounts were highly consistent regarding issue salience, thus suggesting a high intermedia agenda-setting effect (inter-account agenda setting in this ease as reference to Twitter news providers). Moreover, the analysis showed that the agenda-setting effect is present to a high degree between Twitter news providers and the public agendas that were measured by the number of comments.

The Power of Social Media Influencers
2021
Objectives: This study aims to explore the perceived credibility of social media influencers and its effect on purchase decisions. The study does that through 3 axes that have to do with attraction, trust and experience. It also aimed to investigate the relationship between satisfaction with content promoted via social media and its relation to purchase intention. Method: The present study uses the surveying methodol¬ogy through a cross-sectional survey that asked the 1148 respondents (50.4% N = 593 males and 49.6% N = 584 females) to identify the nature and motive behind their social media use, overall satisfaction regarding the content, and purchase decisions of products and services promoted by influencers. Results: The analysis of the data indicated that comedy and entertainment influencers are the most preferred type of influencers, while fashion influencers \"fashion¬istas\" are the least preferred. Based on the results of the regression analysis, positive significant relationship was indicated between the satisfactions with the social media content, realizing the credibility and between Purchase decisions; users' satisfaction with social media content is positively related to decisions to purchasing decisions of products promoted by the influencers. Conclusion: The study showed the huge influence of social media influencers on purchase decisions as attraction, trust and experience are all vital factors in the purchase decision.

Here, we report a facile route to the synthesizing of a new donor-acceptor complex, L3, using 4-{[(anthracen-9-yl)meth-yl] amino}-benzoic acid, L2, as donor moiety with anthraquinone as an acceptor moiety. The formation of donor-acceptor complex L3 was facilitated via H-bonding and characterized by single-crystal X-ray diffraction. The X-ray diffraction results confirmed the synthesized donor-acceptor complex L3 crystal belongs to the triclinic system possessing the P-1 space group. The complex L3 was also characterized by other spectral techniques, viz., FTIR and UV absorption spectroscopy, which confirmed the formation of new bonds between donor L2 moiety and acceptor anthraquinone molecule. The crystallinity and thermal stability of the newly synthesized complex L3 was confirmed by powdered XRD and TGA analysis and theoretical studies; Hirshfeld surface analysis was performed to define the type of interactions occurring in the complex L3. Interestingly, theoretical results were successfully corroborated with experimental results of FTIR and UV absorption. The density functional theory (DFT) calculations were employed for HOMO to LUMO; the energy gap (∆E) was calculated to be 3.6463 eV. The complex L3 was employed as a photocatalyst for the degradation of MB dye and was found to be quite efficient. The results showed MB dye degraded about 90% in 200 min and followed the pseudo-first-order kinetic with rate constant k = 0.0111 min
and R
= 0.9596. Additionally, molecular docking reveals that the lowest binding energy was -10.8 Kcal/mol which indicates that the L3 complex may be further studied for its biological applications.

(1) Background: Missed nursing care, an omission error characterized by delayed or omitted nursing interventions, poses significant risks to patients’ safety and quality of car.; (2) Methods: This is a quantitative cross-sectional study on 151 nurses who work in NICUs in three main networks in the Eastern Health Province, Saudi Arabia: Dammam (n = 84), Qatif (n = 53), and Jubail (n = 14). The study uses a self-reported questionnaire (MISSCARE) and applies the 5-point Likert Scale. Statistical analysis data were analyzed using SPSS version 23.0. (3) Results: The primary reasons for missed care were shortage of nursing staff and unbalanced patient assignments. Missed nursing care negatively affects job satisfaction and was positively correlated with nurses’ intentions to quit their jobs. Inadequate equipment, supplies, and breakdowns in communication between nurses and other healthcare professionals were also significant factors contributing to missed care. (4) Conclusions: Missed nursing care is associated with overwork, nursing shortages, and lower job satisfaction, impacting the quality of care provided in the NICU. Improving working conditions, nurse staffing, and patient assignment planning should be prioritized to address this issue effectively.

Quality has become a fundamental requirement for success and sustainability of websites. This study discusses the evaluation of some e-Learning websites as one of the main sources of information to administrators, students and teachers in the educational systems. This article investigates the quality of e-learning websites in the Middle East in term of usability and content accessibility. Eleven websites from eleven countries were selected for this study. Evaluations process is done based on different web diagnostic tools and measures. The experimental results show several issues on usability and content accessibility of the selected e-learning websites. Many usability problems with respect of speed and number of broken links were found. Moreover, the design of the selected websites is not fit with the content accessibility standards.

Digital media and women's political participation in Kuwait
2015
There is an ongoing debate about the effects of Internet use on women’s political participation. While some have argued that the Internet lowers women’s cost of participation and increases their level of political participation, others maintain that Internet use has minimal effect. This study examines the relationship between Internet use and women’s political participation, using a random sample of 800 Kuwaiti women. The study investigates women’s digital media use behavior and its relation to both their online and offline political participation and to their level of exposure to online political information. The study also introduces a distinction between women who seek specifically political content and various other types of content. The results show that the amount of time spent on the Internet on online news and political information do not have an association with higher levels of online political participation. Although the study finds that the levels of both online and offline participation are very low due to socialization and culture, online participation has a strong and significant association with higher levels of offline participation. This study also finds that online privacy and anonymity are significantly associated with higher levels of online participation. In terms of digital inequality, it finds that digital skills and social institutions are positively related to higher levels of online participation, which suggests that online familiarity and literacy empower women and increase their online inclusion.
