In the cement concrete manufacturing industry, mixers are critical pieces of equipment that play an essential role. Mixers ensure, by mechanically mixing the materials that make up the concrete, the homogeneity of the mixture. Since the active elements of the mixer in the concrete industry—the mixing blades—come into permanent contact with the mineral aggregates in the mixture formed by water and cement, they are permanently subjected to a strong abrasive–erosive wear process. The authors of this article were concerned with the establishment of tribological models for studying the wear of mixing blades, in order to identify the influence of their constructive parameters on the wear intensity. A complex model (Kraghelsky–Nepomnyashchi model) was adopted for the study. The modeling results revealed that the wear intensity decreases with an increasing blade angle of attack and increases linearly with increasing speed, as well as with an increasing friction coefficient. The modeling results confirm that the wear intensity is lowest when the mixing blade is inclined at a 60° angle, while the highest value is recorded for 30°. By identifying the angle at which the greatest wear of blades occurs, interventions can be made in the design of a more durable mixer (with the optimal installation angle of the mixer blades), thus requiring fewer corrective maintenance interventions. Based on these findings, we conclude that the complex model used in the experiment can provide a convenient and efficient tool for the study of erosive–abrasive phenomena.

Escalators are an important piece of equipment used for vertical transportation of people in buildings. In today’s context, when the reduction of greenhouse gas emissions is a global challenge, the energetic efficiency of escalators in operation becomes a priority. The research aims to identify possibilities to reduce the energy consumption of this category of equipment. In this respect, we have undertaken a series of tests to establish a correlation between passenger traffic and electrical energy consumption. The tests were carried out for an existing escalator and represent the first step in developing solutions to optimize the operation of such equipment. The energetic efficiency of escalators in operation needs to be customized for each model and involves finding parameters that can be modelled to reduce electrical energy consumption.

Articolele au ca obiectiv prezentarea principalelor aspecte privind tribologia servovalvelor, principala componentă a sistemelor hidraulice de reglare automată. Sunt identificate şi caracterizate, din punct de vedere tribologic, cuplele caracteristice servovalvelor. Se prezintă formele constructive, materialele din care sunt realizate, cerinţele de calitate realizate prin tratamente termice adecvate şi relaţiile stricte Între dimensiunile funcţionale de bază ale duzei şi ale restrictorului privite În legătură cu fenomenele complexe care apar la curgerea lichidului hidraulic. Sunt prezentate procesele de frecare şi uzare caracteristice servovalvelor, factorii de influenţă specifici şi unele aspecte privind modelele matematice ale procesului de frecare (modelul Coulomb, modelul Stribeck, modelul Helouvry, teoria adeziunii Bowden-Tabor). Frecarea vâscoasă, proprie regimului normal de funcţionare a servovalvelor, respectiv al cuplei sertar-bucşă este analizată cu legea Newton şi În acest context sunt prezentate forţele de presiune şi efectele acestora asupra proceselor tribologice specifice.

The paper presents experimental research performed to quantify the modification of the rheological properties of hydraulic fluids in various stages of d degradation, caused by contamination with solid particles and to set the range of variation of characteristic parameters. The data obtained are useful in assessing the degree of wear of hydraulic fluids in particular and of lubricants in general.

OPTIMIZAREA TRIBOLOGICĂ A CUPLAJELOR HOMOCINETICE SPECIFICE REDUCTOARELOR CICLOIDALE CU BOLŢURI

Reductoarele cicloidale cu bolţuri sunt transmisii mecanice cu rapoarte mari de transmitere şi momente la ieşire înscrise într-o gamă largă de valori (până la 55.000 [Nm]). In afară de angrenajul cicloidal caracteristic, componenta importantă din punct de vedere tribologic o reprezintă cuplajul homocinetic implicat direct în transmiterea mişcării şi a momentului. In lucrarea de faţă sunt tratate procesele tribologice (frecare, ungere şi uzare) specifice cuplajelor homocinetice respectiv aspectele lor particulare asociate cu cinematica şi dinamica acestora (forţe, viteze, presiuni de contact, deformaţii locale, etc.). În acest context au fost determinate experimental, pe cuple modelate, coeficientul de frecare şi intensitatea uzării în funcţie de materiale şi medii de ungere uzual utilizate la aceste transmisii. Rezultatele obţinute constituie suportul unor recomandări privind alegerea cuplului optim material-lubrifiant pentru elementele cuplajului homocinetic (bolţ, bucşă, alezaj al discului cicloidal) care asigură creşterea durabilităţii acestor elemente şi diminuarea pierderilor prin frecare.
