Healthcare workers (HCWs) are highly vulnerable to compassion fatigue (CF), which not only leads to decreased mental and physical health, but also to deterioration in the safety of care delivered. Our study aims to measure compassion satisfaction (CS), CF levels and their predictors among Tunisian HCWs. We conducted a cross-sectional study among HCWs caring for confirmed and suspected Covid-19 patients, staff at two university hospitals in Sousse, Tunisia during the 4.sup.th wave of coronavirus through a self-administrated Questionnaire, using the French version of the Professional Quality of Life scale ProQol, version 5. A total of 274 professionals were recruited with a mean age of 32.87±8.35 years. HCWs tend to have an overall moderate levels of compassion satisfaction, secondary traumatic stress and burnout with mean scores 35.09±7.08, 29.72±7.62, 28.54±5.44 respectively. Self-reported resilience ([beta] = 0.14, p = 10.sup.-3 ), work engagement ([beta] = 0.39, p = 10.sup.-3) and burnout ([beta] = -0.32, p = 10.sup.-3) were the predictors of compassion satisfaction in the linear regression analysis (adjusted r.sup.2 = 0.45). Similarly, limited work experience, compassion satisfaction and secondary traumatic sub-scores were the determinants of burnout ([beta] = -0.1, p = 0.04; [beta] = -0.54, p = 10.sup.-3 ; [beta] = 0.35, p = 10.sup.-3 respectively); (adjusted r.sup.2 = 0.48). Regarding STS, female professionals ([beta] = 0.20, p = 10.sup.-3 ), being married ([beta] = 0.19, p = 10.sup.-3 ), the fear of transmitting the infection ([beta] = 0.11, p = 0.03) and burnout ([beta] = 0.39, p = 10.sup.-3) were the predictors for the occurrence of secondary traumatic stress (adjusted r.sup.2 = 0.48). More resilience promoting interventions and more coping skills programs must be implemented to fulfill HCWs' psychological well-being needs.

A Blockchain-Based Smart Contract System for Healthcare Management
2020
Blockchain is evolving to be a secure and reliable platform for secure data sharing in application areas such as the financial sector, supply chain management, food industry, energy sector, internet of things and healthcare. In this paper, we review existing literature and applications available for the healthcare system using blockchain technology. Besides, this work also proposes multiple workflows involved in the healthcare ecosystem using blockchain technology for better data management. Different medical workflows have been designed and implemented using the ethereum blockchain platform which involves complex medical procedures like surgery and clinical trials. This also includes accessing and managing a large amount of medical data. Within the implementation of the workflows of the medical smart contract system for healthcare management, the associated cost has been estimated for this system in terms of a feasibility study which has been comprehensively presented in this paper. This work would facilitate multiple stakeholders who are involved within the medical system to deliver better healthcare services and optimize cost.

Autonomy, Post-puberty Bacha Posh and Third World Feminism in Selected Afghan Fiction
2023
This paper examines the fictional representation of the ways in which Afghan girls attain autonomy in their post-puberty stage through the tradition of bacha posh (2) despite the traditional constraints to switch back to their gender at birth. This analysis of bacha posh characters in Ukmina Manoori's (3) I Am a Bacha Posh and Zarghuna Kargar's Bakhtawara's Story attempts to demonstrate how the bacha posh tradition develops the potential for transgression in Afghan girls, fostering a resistance to traditional gender roles. In doing so, this paper challenges and rebuts Western feminist views regarding Afghan women, who are stereotyped as incapable, voiceless, and oppressed entities. By drawing upon Andrea Veltman and Mark Piper's notion of \"autonomy,\" Marina Oshana's concept of commitment to feminism and autonomy, as well as the three intersecting elements of Catriona Mackenzie's concept of relational autonomy, i.e. \"self-determination,\" \"self-governance,\" and \"self-authorization\" (Mackenzie 15), this paper explores the autonomous nature of the bacha posh particularly after puberty in the Afghan context. This study highlights how the bacha posh tradition has proved to be an asset for these otherwise suppressed women by equipping them with confidence, determination, and authority. In doing so, this paper also aims at rebutting the criticism on bacha posh which has focused predominantly on its negative implications. This discussion also concentrates on how these Afghan girls utilize the tradition of bacha posh to improve the conditions of women in Afghanistan. The present research attempts at providing an intervention within the discourses surrounding post-puberty bacha posh identity. It not only explores a rather sensitive and provocative topic but also induces a shift within the perceptions regarding the bacha posh tradition and its ramifications. In doing so, this research serves as a key entry point for readers and counters misperceptions regarding this globally misunderstood Afghan tradition.

Out of earshot : sound, technology, and power in American art, 1860-1900
\"How can sound invoke a collective memory or community? What does progress sound like? What does power sound like? How should painting relate to the masses? Winslow Homer, Thomas Eakins, and Thomas Wilmer Dewing considered these questions and took on the burden of picturing sound in the mute medium of painting with substantial urgency. This book considers the aural dimension of their pictures--both in terms of the sounds that they depict and the sounds occurring in front of them--as ideological products of period class, gender, cultural, racial, and technological discourses, and transports these overlooked sensorial conditions into the discipline of art history\"--Provided by publisher.
Parameter study of a 5G array antenna at 28 GHz
2025
In this paper a 5G compact antenna is investigated at 28 GHz. The structure is based on Quasi-Yagi antenna comprising a director, driver, and reflector. The SIW technology is utilized to feed the antenna because of its numerous benefits. The antenna array is designed and simulated and the S
11
, E pattern, and H pattern are analyzed for both single-element and array antennas. Moreover, the effects of various parameters such as the number of stubs, the length of the director, the distance between the director and driver, the length of the driver, and the distance between the driver and reflector on S
11
are studied. The HFSS and CST software are used for all analyses. Additionally, for the array antenna the effects of increasing the number of directors on S
11
and antenna gain, change in antenna length, and variations in distances between elements are evaluated.
