The Effect of the Level of Pouring the Mixture on the Basic Properties of Aerated Concrete with Variotropic Properties
2020
We reviewed the work of Russian scientists who had made significant contributions to the theory and technology of manufacture of products from cellular concrete, including low density. It was formulated essence of the method of molding and formation of the porous structure aerated products of variable density and strength of the cross section. It was presented the grain composition, physical properties and X-ray powder diffraction of traditional and non-traditional raw materials. The influence of the fill level of viscoplastic mixture in the form to the height of the swelling was shown and the basic properties of aerated concrete with variable density and strength of the cross section and its optimum value was revealed.

The main drawbacks of aerated concrete preparation traditional technology are considered. The method essence for the porous structure formation of aerated concrete products with variational properties is formulated. The main factors affecting aerated concrete products properties of varying density and strength along the cross-section are indicated. The mold cover closed surface with a circular opening area effect on aerated concrete products main properties is shown and its optimum value is revealed. The traditional and modern types gas generators influence on gas evolution kinetics, mixture swelling height, gas generators stability in time and variable density and strength on the cross-section aerated concrete products main properties are considered.

Fly ash from power stations is one of the effective fillers in bitumen binders due to its high specific surface area in origin state. This paper is focused on study of effect of phase and size characteristics of fly ashes on properties of bitumen binder. In this work a high-calcium (FA1) and low-calcium (FA2) fly ashes are used. According to chemical and mineral composition of FA1 is reactive in water medium because it contains hydraulic minerals. FA2 is hydraulically inert mainly consisting of aluminosilicate vitreous phase. FA1 is characterized by higher specific surface vs. FA2 according to Blain method data but lower specific surface measured with BET method. It can be associated with high porosity of FA2 that significantly influent on bitumen content in binding system. Lower packing density of FA2 particles leads to reducing of strength characteristics in bitumen composite. Low adsorption of bitumen to surface of FA1 particles initiates hydration process of reactive minerals as well as formation of ettringite phase that leads to extension of the binder system and structure decompaction. Bitumen composites based on FA2 with higher adsorptive capacity is characterized by more stable structure.
