Faith and Fury : the Temple Mount and the Noble Sanctuary: the story of Jerusalem's most sacred space
\"Temple Mount is a site where worlds meet, conflict arises, and history changes. Standing in the center of Jerusalem, it is a holy landmark for Jews, Muslims, and Christians alike, and has been the locus of many of the most important religious, social, and political upheavals of the last thousand years. Rumored to be the location of the Garden of Eden, Temple Mount dominates Jerusalem's Old City and contains the Dome of the Rock and the Western Wall, both of which attract millions of visitors and religious pilgrims each year. Veteran author Ilene Cooper explores the turbulent history of Jerusalem's famous Temple Mount in this timely, illustrated nonfiction offering\"-- Provided by publisher.
Eleanor Roosevelt : her impact on the civil rights movement, the White House, and the world
\"Eleanor Roosevelt, Fighter for Justice shows young readers how the former First Lady evolved from a poor little rich girl to a protector and advocate for those without a voice. Though now seen as a cultural icon, she was a woman deeply insecure about her looks and her role in the world. But by recognizing her fears and constantly striving to overcome her prejudices, she used her proximity to presidents and her own power to aid in the fight for Civil Rights and other important causes\"-- Provided by publisher.
Creation Stories
Steven Zeitlin, author of The Four Corners of the Sky (2000), a collection of creation stories for older readers, concisely explains the appeal and power of creation stories: \"No culture is content just to see and describe the universe-we always want to learn where it came from and where it is going.\"

FIFTY SHADES OF THE BIBLE
[Editors note: yes, that's my picture you see to the left, but, no, I did not write this column. Here's why: I had no religious education whatsoever and know almost nothing about the Bible. My parents weren't particularly religious, but I take full responsibility for what many would call my failings in this regard. Matters of belief aside, as an English major, I really should have realized the importance of biblical stories in world literature and done a little homework.
