Beringer succeeds in column
What [David Beringer]'s column did was just that. He compared cultural and sports events, and raised the ire of a number of community members. For hockey enthusiasts, this provided the opportunity for expression of opinions; what followed were several letters, many of which very eloquently put forth a position. The writers were able to fully explain their views on the benefits of hockey, and on recreational facilities. Without the column to respond to, this would not have happened.
