بين يدي القارئ كتاب يجمع بين دفتيه الترجمة العربية لوثائق مكافحة كوفيد 19- التي أصدرتها لجنة الصحة الوطنية الصينية، ومـن بـين هذه الوثائق النسخ الست مـن آليات الوقاية مـن الالتهاب الرئوي الناجم عـن فيروس كـورونا المستجد ومكافحته، والنسخة التجريبية السابعة لآليات تـشخيص الالتـِهاب الـرئوي الناجِم عـن فـيروس كـورونا المستجد وعلاجه وغـيرها مـن الـمرفقات. وعـمل على ترجمة النـسخة الـعربية لوثائق مكافحة كـوفيد 19- الصينية فريـق ترجمة به أكـثر من عشريـن أستاذا وطالبا مـن قسم اللغة العربية بكلية اللغات الأجنبية بجامعة بكين بـالتعاون مع كلية الآداب في جامعة القاهرة والمعهد العالي للغات بتونس في جامعة قرطاج، في الفترة مـن مارس وحتى مايو 2020، قام خلالها فـريق الترجمة بترجمة قرابة 100 ألـف رمز صيني.
Dietary patterns and their associations with the metabolic syndrome and predicted 10-year risk of CVD in northwest Chinese adults

The impact of diet on the metabolic syndrome (MetS) and CVD has been investigated widely, but few studies have investigated the association between dietary patterns (DP) and the predicted CVD, derived from reduced rank regression (RRR). The objectives of this study were to derive DP using RRR and principal component analysis (PCA) and investigate their associations with the MetS and estimated 10-year atherosclerotic CVD (ASCVD). We used the baseline dataset from the Xinjiang multi-ethnic cohort study in China, collected from June 2018 to May 2019. A total of 14 982 subjects aged 35–74 years from Urumqi, Huo Cheng and Mo Yu were included in the analysis. The 10-year ASCVD risk was estimated using the Chinese ASCVD risk equations. The associations of DP with the MetS and 10-year ASCVD were determined using multivariable logistic regression models. In Urumqi and Mo Yu, the increased RRR DP score was associated with a higher OR of having the MetS and with a higher OR of elevated 10-year ASCVD risk. However, only the first DP determined by PCA in Urumqi was inversely associated with the MetS and elevated 10-year ASCVD risk. The prevalence of the MetS and elevated ASCVD risk in urban population is higher than that in rural areas. Our results may help nutritionists develop more targeted dietary strategies to prevent the MetS and ASCVD in different regions in China.

A Traditional Chinese Medicine for the Treatment of Endometrial Hyperplasia via Regulating the HPO Axis in Rats

Dysfunctional uterine bleeding, accompanied by endometrial hyperplasia (EH), is a common gynecological disease that seriously affects female physical and mental health. Some drugs have been prompted to cure the disease, but most medications have certain side effects and limitations. In the present study, we demonstrated an unexploited Chinese traditional medicine, a combination of Saururus chinensis, Celosia cristata, and Spatholobus suberectus (SCS), which could be used for the treatment of EH and associated complications in rats. We identified the active components from the three Chinese herbs via thin-layer chromatography and high-performance liquid chromatography methods. In addition, serum biochemical indexes and histologic section results found that acute high-dose SCS exerted no adverse impacts on the rats. We then showed that SCS shortened coagulation time (p=0.018) and degree of swelling (p=0.021) on rats at 30 min compared to blank control. Further studies proved that recovered endometrial thickness was associated with the modulation of four hormones (follicle-stimulating hormone, luteinizing hormone, estrogen, and progesterone). Specifically, follicle-stimulating hormone and progesterone contents increased gradually with time, and estrogen was decreased, whereas luteinizing hormone content was returned to normal after a short-term elevation (p<0.05). Besides, SCS increased uterine endometrium’s mRNA expression levels of matrix metalloproteinase-1 (p<0.001) and tissue inhibitor of matrix metalloproteinase-1 (p<0.001), promoting the repair of proliferating endometrium in the rats. Collectively, our study indicates that SCS harbors a profoundly curative effect on the treatment of EH and relative complications and uncovers the mechanism at molecular and gene expression levels.

Comfort Optimization of Adaptive Cruise Control Based on Heart Rate Variability and Fuzzy Control

This paper investigated the impact of braking intensity of self-driving cars at different initial speeds on straight road sections on drivers’ comfort, with a view to achieving the comfort optimization of adaptive cruise control (ACC). Specifically, the real vehicle test was conducted in an enclosed venue based on the within-subjects design of 3 × 3 × 2, and the data pertaining to electrocardiogram (ECG) and subjective evaluation of 9 subject drivers in 9 sub tests were collected. Besides, the impacts of different motion states on heart rate variability (HRV) parameters were analyzed using the general linear model for repeated measures, and the relationships among drivers’ comfort, decelerations, and standard deviation of NN intervals (SDNN, an index of HRV) were obtained based on subjective and objective analyses. Additionally, a control strategy based on HRV and fuzzy control was formulated to realize the comfort optimization of ACC in case of an abrupt deceleration of the preceding vehicle, the verifications were performed through joint simulation. The results exhibited that the control strategy based on HRV and fuzzy control could shorten the deceleration time in case of an abrupt deceleration of the preceding vehicle, and may improve the comfort in such scenario.

A reconfigurable analog processor using coarse-grained, heterogeneous configurable analog blocks for field programmable mixed-signal processing

A field programmable analog array (FPAA), designed for a reconfigurable analog processor, introduces coarse-grained, heterogeneous configurable analog blocks that improves performance and power consumption. Designed in an SMIC standard 0.18 μm CMOS process, mixed-signal processing can be performed by the assistance of an on-chip MCU and configurable digital blocks. Relative precision of the analog processing is 99.5%. A PID controller is shown as an application example. With a total die area of 11 mm2, the maximum power consumption is 17.6 mA with a 3.3 V supply voltage, resulting in a 17× improvement in energy-efficiency over current conventional FPAAs.

Mathematical analysis and simulation of a Hepatitis B model with time delay: A case study for Xinjiang, China

The incubation period for Hepatitis B virus (HBV) within the human is epidemiologically significant because it is typically of long duration (1.5∼6 months) and the disease transmission possibility may be increased due to more contact from the patients in this period. In this paper, we investigate an SEICRV epidemic model with time delay to research the transmission dynamics of Hepatitis B disease. The basic reproductive number ${\\mathcal R}_0$ is derived and can determine the dynamics of the model. The disease-free equilibrium is globally asymptotically stable if ${\\mathcal R}_0 1$. As ${\\mathcal R}_0>1$, the model admits a unique endemic equilibrium which is locally asymptotically stable. The endemic equilibrium is globally asymptotically stable when the vertical transmission is ignored. Numerically, we study the Hepatitis B transmission case in Xinjiang, China. Using the Hepatitis B data from Xinjiang, the basic reproductive number is estimated as 1.47 (95% CI: 1.34-1.50). By the end of 2028, the cumulative number of Hepatitis B cases in Xinjiang will be estimated about 700,000 if there is no more effective preventive measures. The sensitivity analysis of ${\\mathcal R}_0$ in terms of parameters indicates prevention and treatment for chronic patients are key measures in controlling the spread of Hepatitis B in Xinjiang.

Association between Dietary Inflammatory Index and Type 2 diabetes mellitus in Xinjiang Uyghur autonomous region, China

Background Diet and inflammation have both been studied in relation to type 2 diabetes mellitus (T2DM). The aim of this cross-sectional study was to examine the association between the Dietary Inflammatory Index (DII®) and T2DM. Methods Subjects were adults enrolled in the baseline study of the Xinjiang multi-ethnic natural population cohort and health follow-up study from January to May 2019. The study involved 5,105 subjects (58.7% men) between 35 and 74 years of age. The DII score was calculated from a data obtained via a food frequency questionnaire consisting of 127 food items. Results Logistic regression analyses were used to estimate the odds ratios (ORs) and 95% confidence intervals (95% CIs) of DII in relation to T2DM. After adjusting for potential confounders, compared to subjects in the 1st DII quintile, subjects in the 5th quintile (i.e., with the most pro-inflammatory diet) had higher odds of T2DM (OR = 3.27, 95%CI:2.38,4.50; p<0.001). Conclusions Our results suggest that a pro-inflammatory diet is associated with a higher risk of T2DM in this population of Chinese adults.

Decidual natural killer (dNK) cells actively participate in the establishment and maintenance of maternal-fetal immune tolerance and act as local guardians against infection. However, how dNK cells maintain the immune balance between tolerance and anti-infection immune responses during pregnancy remains unknown. Here, we demonstrated that the inhibitory molecule T-cell immunoglobulin domain and mucin domain-containing molecule-3 (Tim-3) are expressed on over 60% of dNK cells. Tim-3^+ dNK cells display higher interleukin (IL)-4 and lower tumor necrosis factor (TNF)-α and perforin production. Human trophoblast cells can induce the transformation of peripheral NK cells into a dNK-like phenotype via the secretion of galectin-9 (Gal-9) and the interaction between Gal-9 and Tim-3. In addition, trophoblasts inhibit lipopolysaccharide (LPS)-induced pro-inflammatory cytokine and perforin production by dNK cells, which can be attenuated by Tim-3 neutralizing antibodies. Interestingly, a decreased percentage of Tim-3-expressing dNK cells were observed in human miscarriages and murine abortion-prone models. Moreover, T helper (Th)2-type cytokines were decreased and Thl-type cytokines were increased in Tim-3^+ but not Tim-3- dNK cells from human and mouse miscarriages. Therefore, our results suggest that the Gal-9/Tim-3 signal is important for the regulation of dNK cell function, which is beneficial for the maintenance of a normal pregnancy.

Aim: Human CXCR3, a seven-transmembrane segment (7TMS), is predominantly expressed in Th1-mediated responses. Interferon-y-inducible protein 10 (IP-10) is an important ligand for CXCR3. Their interaction is pivotal for leukocyte migration and activation. Tyrosine sulfation in 7TMS is a posttranslational modification that contributes substantially to ligand binding. We aimed to study the role of tyrosine sulfation of CXCR3 in the protein's binding to IP-10. Methods: Plasmids encoding CXCR3 and its mutants were prepared by PCR and site-directed mutagenesis. HEK 293T cells were transfected with plasmids encoding CXCR3 or its variants using calcium phosphate. Transfected cells were labeled with [^35S]-cysteine and methionine or [35S]-Na2SO3 and then analyzed by immunoprecipitation to measure sulfation. Experiments with ^125 I-labeled IP-10 were carried out to evaluate the affinity of CXCR3 for its ligand. Calcium influx assays were used to measure intercellular signal transduction. Results: Our data show that sulfate moieties are added to tyrosines 27 and 29 of CXCR3. Mutation of these two tyrosines to phenylalanines substantially decreases binding of CXCR3 to IP-10 and appears to eliminate the associated signal transduction. Tyrosine sulfation of CXCR3 is enhanced by tyrosyl protein sulfotransferases (TPSTs), and it is weakened by shRNA constructs. The binding ability of CXCR3 to IP-10 is increased by TPSTs and decreased by shRNAs. Conclusion: This study identifies two sulfated tyrosines in the N-terminus of CXCR3 as part of the binding site for IP-10, and it underscores the fact that tyrosine sulfation in the N-termini of 7TMS receptors is functionally important for ligand interactions. Our study suggests a molecular target for inhibiting this ligand-receptor interaction.
