How does an illegal worker avoid taxes? Doesn't the employer withhold taxes? If the employer does withhold taxes, then isn't the worker paying taxes? If the employer does not forward those withheld taxes, isn't it the employer who isn't paying taxes? Let's say an illegal uses a bogus Social Security number and the taxes withheld don't go anywhere because the number isn't real. Well, they go somewhere.
