Boys and Girls Clubs in Indian Country

This report discusses the status and role of nonprofits in Indian Country and, specifically, the Boys and Girls Club of the Northern Cheyenne Tribe. The report attempts to give a general overview of the political economy of Indian Country and discusses some of the obstacles facing all Indian nations. Building alliances between institutions is discussed in several frameworks throughout the paper. We use the concept of Partnerships, Accountability, and Creating Trust (or “PACT”) as a guiding influence.
