On August 20, 2003, Mtv News correspondent Kurt Loder sat down with Johnny Cash at his home near Nashville for what would be Cash's final press interview. Cash had been nominated for six Mtv Video Music Awards, including Video of the Year, for his cover of Nine Inch Nails' \"Hurt.\" Editor's Note: On September 12, 2003, just three weeks after this inter view was taped, Johnny Cash passed away at Baptist Hospital in Nashville.
