The Effect of Using the Balanced Scorecard BSC in Maximizing the Added Values of Scientific Research in Universities
The aim of this paper is study the impact of the balanced scorecard on improving the performance of scientific research in a way that directly linking policies of King Khalid with the vision, mission and objectives of the university and thus increase the added value of scientific research and enhance cooperation between the University and various universities and institutions. In order to achieve this goal, the researcher analyzed a sample of (113) representatives of the research community such as faculty members and post graduate students at various faculties of King Khalid University and hypothesis by using (SEM by AMOS program), The paper is improved that the use of a balanced measurement card BSC leads to increase the added value of scientific research, also the BSC has a positive impact in the activation of the university strategy and increase the satisfaction of all parties that related to scientific research.
A Structural Framework for Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP) and its Consequence on Leadership Succession Planning Strategy Applying to the Leaders of King Khalid University and Qualified Personnel for Leadership Position
The research paper pursues to know the effect of NLP practices on leadership succession planning strategy by applying to The Leaders of King Khalid University and Qualified Personnel for the Leadership position. After reviewing the literature, the researchers formulated a hypothetical model for the study that includes the central hypothesis from which six sub-hypotheses emerge, including measuring the impact of NLP pillars on leadership succession planning strategy. A sample size of 100 individuals was selected, representing the research population represented by the deans and deans of the university and colleges and heads of departments in colleges at King Khalid University in Saudi Arabia. The response rate was 82%, with 82 valid questionnaires for analysis. The study relied on Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) by AMOS (V.26) and SPSS (V.25) for data analysis and hypotheses. The study found a positive and significant effect between NLP and leadership succession planning strategy. NLP confirmed its re-formulation of standard mental models to understand and facilitate the process of thinking and training, which helps successive leaders understand the ideas and beliefs of current leaders and their ways of thinking in solving problems and facing crises. In addition, NLP plays a vital role in increasing the successive leader’s sense of the need to establish their reputation for outstanding performance after similarity and learning from the model. Finally, the novice leader needs a model and role model to help him control the way he feels, transforming it into positive thinking that stimulates energy and focuses on goals, which the application of NLP practices does. So, this study is recommended the necessity of activating leadership succession planning strategy within universities through establishing a leadership academy in which NLP methods are practiced, as this academy has a significant impact on achieving leadership succession and the continuation of pipelines of leaders.
The Influence of Organizational University Name & City (Main) Health on Reducing the Job Burnout during the COVID- 19 Pandemic
This study desires to identify the level of job burnout among health workers during the COVID-19 pandemic crisis and examine the impact of organizational health in reducing this feeling. A random sample of 400 individuals distributed among doctors and nurses working in hospitals in Saudi Arabia, Egypt and Jordan was selected to achieve this goal. The questionnaire was used as a tool for data collection. The number of returned questionnaires was 318 (79.5%). The study confirmed the existence of an average level of organizational health application within the hospitals under study, which needs to raise awareness of the importance of organizational health. The study also confirmed the presence of high levels of burnout among the medical staff which explains the professional pressures that the medical staff were exposed during COVID-19. Also, the statistical results confirmed that organizational health has a significant positive effect on reducing job burnout. Accordingly, a comprehensive implementation plan was prepared that explains how to apply the dimensions of organizational health within hospitals in a way that contributes to creating an appropriate healthy organizational environment that improves the performance of health workers and reduces their sense of pressure and job burnout.
The Role of Virtual Teams in Increasing the Number of Innovations and Developing Competitive Advantage
This paper attempts to discover the role that virtual teams play in increasing the number of innovations in the research and development (R&D) department in global companies, and the extent to which this affects achieving a competitive advantage for the organizations under study (SAMSUNG, LG, IBM, and Toyota). The research was based on the method of exploratory analysis of data as the method of the study, and to achieve this goal, the researcher collected data on the number of hypothetical employees assigned to the research and development department in those companies compared to investments and sales and related to the number of innovations during the period between 2009- 2016. The research was based on the method of exploratory data analysis as a method for the study and analysis of the data used. The results of the research concluded that there is a positive direct relationship between the previous variables. Virtual teams are also one of the most important modern methods used in modern business enterprises and their necessity as a result of increasing response and shifting from serial work to simultaneous and parallel work to increase innovation, which leads to an increase in the competitive advantage of these organizations. The study recommends the need to pay attention to building effective virtual teams within organizations because of their essential advantages and to overcome the most important challenges that hinder the effectiveness and success of these teams. By increasing collaboration, interaction and efficiency leadership.
