Water transport is vital for the durability of ultra-high performance concrete (UHPC) in engineering, but its absorption behavior requires further comprehension. This study investigates the impact of silica fume (SF) and metakaolin (MK) on water absorption in UHPC matrix with a high volume of limestone powder (LS) under two curing temperatures, and the variation in water transport with pore size obtained by low field nuclear magnetic resonance (LF-NMR). Relations between cumulative water absorption with other properties were discussed, and the pore size distribution (PSD) measured by Mercury intrusion porosimetry (MIP) was compared with that determined by LF-NMR. Results showed that MK outperformed SF in reducing water absorption in UHPC matrix, containing 30% LS under steam curing due to the synergistic effect between MK and LS. The incorporation of LS greatly affected the water absorption process of UHPC matrix. In samples without LS, capillary and gel pores absorbed water rapidly within the first 6 h and slowly from 6 h to 48 h simultaneously. However, in samples with 30% LS, gel pore water decreased during water absorption process due to the coarsening of gel pores. MK was able to suppress gel pore deterioration caused by the addition of a large amount of LS. Compared with PSD measured by MIP, NMR performed better in detecting micropores (<10 nm).

A Threshold-Based K-Means Algorithm for Selfish Behavior Detection in IEEE 802.15.4 Wireless Sensor Networks
2013
To overcome the insufficient of Sliding Window Non-parameter Cumulation Sum (SWN-CUSUM) algorithm, a Threshold-based K-means (TK-means) algorithm was presented to detect the selfish behaviors in an IEEE 802.15.4 Wireless Sensor Network (WSN).By judging the threshold and tracing the statistics characteristic of the average delay and the average throughput from each link, a node can determine if there is a selfish behavior and distinguish selfish nodes from normal nodes in the WSN. In the TK-means detection mechanism, when the threshold is lower than zero, it is judged that selfish behavior happens in network; In the presence of selfish behaviors, the data set is divided into K groups composed by a number of similar object, which have high similarity in the same groups and low similarity in different groups to distinguish normal nodes and selfish nodes. Simulation results from NS2 show that the TK-means algorithm can effectively detect the selfish behaviors generated by one selfish node or multiple selfish nodes in the WSN.

2014
Due to the oil field has been mined production for a long period of time, strata for direct production of crude oil quantity is less and less, and the remaining oil exploitation is the key to improve recovery factor. Study on the method of inter well remaining oil detection theory and technology has become the hot spot. Residual oil mostly existed between casing, whole space model is established, the two radius of 0.1 m and wall thickness of 0.01 m casing place in medium of the whole space, using the casing’s high conductivity characteristics, through calculation and analysis on steady-state solver, get the current density distribution curve of casing in cross section. Research results show that the analysis of inter well reservoir and cross-hole no reservoir at the time of the current density distribution, as well as the current density values, theory and method for inter well remaining oil research to provide certain theoretical support.

An Improved Backoff Scheme for the IEEE 802.15.4 MAC Protocol
2013
To solve the impact on network performance by the mobile nodes and data transfer rate constantly changing, this paper proposes a improved backoff scheme for IEEE802.15.4, which uses Probability Judgement based on Network Load and Exponentially Weighted Moving Average (PJNL_EWMA). According to a real-time monitoring of current network status by probability judgement of network load , this method dynamically adjust backoff exponent by EWMA when the CSMA/CA begins. Compared the IEEE802.15.4 and MBS+EWMA schemes, the simulation experiments on NS2 platform show that the PJNL_EWMA scheme not only improves the throughput of the network, but also reduces the packet loss rate and the collision ratio, significantly improve the network performance.

Aim: To investigate the effects of liraglutide, a glucagon-like peptide-1 (GLP-1) receptor activator, on body weight and waist circumference in Chinese overweight and obese type 2 diabetic patients. Methods: A total of 328 Chinese overweight and obese type 2 diabetic patients were included in this multi-center, open-labeled and self-controlled clinical study. The patients were subcutaneously injected with Iiraglutide once dally for 24 weeks as add-on therapy to their previous hypoglycemic treatments. Statistical analyses were performed using SPSS software package version 3.1.5 for Windows. Results: Liraglutide treatment caused significant reduction of the mean body weight (from 86.61±14.09 to 79.10±13.55 kg) and waist circumference (from 101.81±13.96 to 94.29±14.17 cm), resulting in body weight lose of 5%-10% in 43.67% patients, and body weight loss above 10% in 34.06% patients, who had significant lower plasma creatinine levels. Baseline waist circumference, BMI and HOMA-IR were independently correlated with the body weight loss. Furthermore, liraglutide treatment significantly decreased HbAlc levels (from 8.66%±2.17% to 6.92%±0.95%) with HbA1c〈7.0% in 35,37% patients, who had a significantly lower baseline level of HbAlc, but higher baseline levels of C peptide and glucagon. Moreover, liraglutide treatment resulted in greater body weight loss in patients with a long duration of diabetes, and better glycemic control in patients with a short duration of diabetes. Conclusion: Liraglutide significantly reduces body weight and waist circumference in Chinese overweight and obese type 2 diabetic patients. Patients with apparent visceral obesity, insulin resistance and a long duration of diabetes may have greater body weight loss whereas patients with high insulin-secreting ability, hyperglucagonemia, and short-duration diabetes may obtain better glycemic contrc with liraglutide.

Dear Editor, Neurological disorder is one of the greatest threats to public health according to the World Health Organi- zation. Because neurons have little or no regenerative capacity, conventional therapies for neurological disor- ders yielded poor outcomes. While the introduction of exogenous neural stem cells or neurons holds promise, many challenges still need to be tackled, including cell resource, delivery strategy, cell integration and cell maturation. Reprogramming of fibroblasts into induced pluripotent stem cells or directly into desirable neuronal cells by transcription factors (TFs) or small molecules can solve some problems, but other issues remain to be addressed, including safety, conversion efficiency and epigenetic memory .

The wetting of galvanized steel by molten Al alloys was studied in the cold metal transfer process by the sessile drop method using a high speed video camera. The wetting behavior can be divided into two typical cases, trending of non-wetting by using small wire feeding speed and wetting by using large wire feeding speed. The Leidenfrost effect is caused by the volatilization of Zn,which is responsible for the former case. The enhanced wettability of steel by Al and the weakening of the Leidenfrost effect are responsible for the latter case.Zn is the destabilizing factor for Al-steel joining that needs to be avoided by a reasonable design of process.

Comparative Pharmacokinetics of Florfenicol in Japanese Eels at Different Temperature
The present study provides a comparative understanding of florfenicol deposition kinetics following oral administration at a single dose of 30 mg/kg body weight to Japanese eel ( Anguilla japonica) at the temperature of 20℃, 24℃ and 28℃, respectively. Approximate 0.3 mL of blood sample from each eel in these three groups was collected in a row at the time 0.5, 1, 2, 4, 8, 12, 24 and 36 h after medicated-feed gavage. The concentrations of florfenicol in eel plasma were detected by reversed-phase high performance liquid chromatography ( RP - HPLC ). The plasma concentration-time data of each eel were analyzed by non-compartmental methods based on statistical moment theory using DAS software. Pharmacokinetics parameters of different groups were tested by one-way analysis of variance using SPSS software. It was found that most of parameters were different significantly among groups ( P 〈 0.05 ). In the three groups at 20℃, 24℃ and 28℃, pharmacokinetics parameters of peak plasma concentration ( Cmax ) were (7. 839 ± 1. 125), ( 13. 010 ± 2. 334) and ( 18. 267 ± 3. 717 ) μg/mL, and the time to reach the Cmax(Tmax) were (6.500± 2.070), (4.500 ± 1.414) and (3.429 ± 0.926) h, respectively. These suggested that eels at higher temperature absorbed more drug and more quickly. The volumes of distribution (Vz/F) were (3. 964 ± 0. 594), (2. 466 ± 0. 672) and (1. 841 ± 0.485) IZkg, respectively. The difference deduced that more florfenicol was bound to tissue in eels at lower temperature. The mean residence time ( MRT0-∞ ) and the half-life of drug ( t1/2, ) in the three respective groups were (31.503 ±7.117), (22.881 ± 4.940) and (22.134 ± 6.204) h, and (21.243 ±5.166), (14.994±4.293) and (14. 656± 5. 061 ) h. These parameters showed that the elimination rate of florfenicol in eels at 24℃ or 28℃ was more quickly than that at 20℃. The areas under the concentration -time curve (AUC0-∞ ) were (235.580 ±62.013), (271.983±75.023) and (353. 192 ± 92.491) μg h/mL, respectively. It indicated that the relative bioavailability of florfenicol was higher significantly in eels at higher temperature.
