2023
This Study aims to measure the influence of online learning (X) on improving the students' professional competence in the aspects of cognitive (Y1), affective (Y2), and psychomotor (Y3). The population of the study is 128 students of the Teacher Professional Education Program at Walisongo State Islamic University in Semarang in the year 2022. They come from 11 different provinces, so the results provide a picture of the implementation of online learning in Indonesia. The data is collected through a survey of the population, and the questionnaire is distributed via Google Forms. This is quantitative research with simple regression used to analyze the data. This study reveals that there is a significant positive effect of online learning on professional competencies. The psychomotor aspects have the highest influence with 45.7% of coefficient determination; while the effective's is 44.2% and cognitive is 37.6%. This is surprising because online learning still has an influence on professional competencies. This contrasts with previous studies which explain that limited educational infrastructure (including online learning) has a negative impact on learning outcomes. This research can be used as a reference for the government to evaluate online learning policies so that the objectives of the Teacher Professional Education Program in Indonesian Minister of Education and Culture Regulation No. 38/2020 can be achieved.

CEFR-Based Policy in Arabic Language Teaching and Cultural Dimension in Indonesian Islamic Higher Education
2022
Common European Framework of Reference (CEFR) is an international standard to measure learners’ language abilities on a six-point scale, A1 for beginners up to C2 for those who have mastered a language. this stuysd attempted to examine the implementation of the CEFR policy in learning Arabic in Indonesia at al levels, beginning form curriculum design to attainment oflearnng objectives The research adopted a quantitative methodology, using a sample of 102 Arabic students at Bina Bangsa University, Serang Banten. PLS-SEM was used to analyze the data. This paper's findings reveal that CEFR directly affects Arabic language learning performance and language policy. Subsequently, language policy directly affects Arabic language learning performance while moderating and mediating the relationship between CEFR and Arabic language learning performance. The implication of this study implies that The CEFR is a set of guidelines for learning a foreign language that can be used in international languages other than English. Some things are the same, and some things are different about the idea of learning a foreign language.

Blockchain Technology to Enhance Integrated Blue Economy: A Case Study in Strengthening Sustainable Tourism on Smart Islands
2023
Smart destinations require a management system that provides convenient real-time use of digital technology in creating, communicating, and delivering value to visitors. Research related to smart island destinations is still limited, let alone those that utilize blockchain technology to create the smartness of the destination. This research is an empirical study that captures the perceptions of stakeholders in the blue economy on smart islands and the use of blockchain technology in order to build smart islands, a destination that consists of many islands that lack connectedness, such as the Seribu Islands in Jakarta, Indonesia. Data were collected using qualitative and quantitative approaches (mixed methods). Qualitative data were collected from scientific journal publications and followed up with VOS viewer analysis, and quantitative data with the questionnaire survey responses from 150 blue economy industry players in the Seribu Islands and structural equation modeling showed that good digital literacy and blue economy management have significant influence on blockchain technology and impact smart islands. This study indicates that, for islands that have challenges in accessibility and connectivity, the presence of blockchain and smart technology is needed to integrate various resources from each stakeholder so that the blue economy in the islands can be developed more effectively and efficiently, while at the same time ensuring the achievement of sustainability.

Integer quantum Hall (IQH) states and quantum anomalous Hall (QAH) states show the same static dc response but distinct dynamical ac response. In particular, the ac anomalous Hall conductivity profile
σ
yx
(
ω
) is sensitive to the band shape of QAH states. For example, dispersive QAH bands shows resonance profile without a sign change at the band gap while the IQH states shows the sign change resonance at the cyclotron energy. We argue by flattening the dispersive QAH bands,
σ
yx
(
ω
) should recover to that of flat Landau bands in IQH, thus it is necessary to know the origin of the sign change. Taking a topological lattice model with tunable bandwidth, we found that the origin of the sign change is not the band gap but the van Hove singularity energy of the QAH bands. In the limit of small bandwidth, the flat QAH bands recovers
σ
yx
(
ω
) of the IQH Landau bands. Because of the Hall response, these topological bands exhibit giant polarization rotation and ellipticity in the reflected waves (Kerr effect) and rotation in the order of fine structure constant in the transmitted waves (Faraday effect) with profile resembles
σ
yx
(
ω
). Our results serve as a simple guide to optical characterization for topological flat bands.

Urbanisation has caused a significant increase in the sprawl of urban settlement. Some researchers introduced the phenomena of peri-urbanisation where the peri-urban areas have become an extension of urban system. Consequently, the existence of peri-urban agriculture is under the threat of land conversion, particularly into housing and other settlement-related services. This study is among the research that provides empirical evidence of the contestation between urban housing expansion and the presence of agricultural land. By using the case of Malang Regency in East Java Province where the peri-urbanisation of Malang City has taken place, this research utilises the spatial autocorrelation analysis to explain the spatial pattern of peri-urbanisation. We found that all variables describing the agricultural sector in Malang Regency exhibit positive spatial autocorrelation with clustering patterns. The distribution of areas with High-High, Low-Low, Low-High, and High-Low agricultural conditions facilitates a more equitable distribution of agricultural resources in Malang Regency as a hinterland and Malang City as the centre of activities. Distance to the city area (Malang City) is one factor that causes clusters to form in the southern or northern areas of Malang Regency.

Elementary schools are key to early disaster preparedness, however, DRR programs remain ineffective and unsustainable. This study systematically reviews school-based DRR strategies, community involvement, and success factors. This study used a PRISMA-guided systematic literature review. Thirty-four articles were analyzed from Scopus, Science Direct, and Emerald-indexed databases between 2020– 2024, and wereselected based on relevant criteria. The study found that DRR strategies have been implemented through education (26%), including curriculum integration (18%) and manual-technology-based learning (9%); management and collaboration (65%) including school management (44%) and adoption of national and international programs (21%); and contextual aspects covering local context (9%). The community involvement before, during, and after a disaster consists of parents (70%), local government (43%), regional government (30%), NGOs and volunteers (30%), the community including the school committee (22%), community organizations (17%), as well as local traditional leaders (9%). The identified key success factors include the use of innovative and local learning media (32%), community involvement (32%), material integration into the curriculum (32%), school commitment (26%), collaboration with local and regional governments (21%), routine simulations (6%), availability of government budget (3%), positive student perception (3%), and self-efficacy (3%). These findings confirm that collaboration, contextual, and community support effectively reduce vulnerability.

Poorly controlled diabetes mellitus can lead to the development of diabetic foot ulcers (DFU), which is a frequent complication in patients. However, several diabetes management guidelines for older adults do not mention the occurrence of DFUs. Nowadays, Autologous Platelet-Rich Gel (APG) is being used for treating diabetic ulcers. APG is an innovative platelet-derived product with many advantages, such as being low-cost, easy to produce, and readily available materials. Additionally, it does not lead to any rejection reaction.
This study aims to assess the safety and efficacy of APG as a novel treatment of DFU compared with standard treatment in older adult patients.
Randomized Controlled Trials (RCTs) were searched using PubMed, Cochrane, Google Scholar, Wiley, and PlosOne. The keywords have been arranged using the Boolean operator, including autologous platelet-rich gel, DFU, and elderly. The data was screened by inclusion and exclusion criteria. The final inclusion study was analyzed and synthesized by tabulation, clusterization, contextual and thematic approach, and assessed for risk of bias using ROB 2.0. Meta-analysis was conducted by using Review Manager 5.4 and the Mantel Haenszel method.
Eight RCTs with 598 patients were eligible for the present analysis. Compared with standard care/conventional treatment, APG could significantly improve the healing wound in patients with diabetic foot ulcers (Relative risk (RR) 1.32, 95% confidence interval (CI) 1.22-1.57, p < 0.0001), shortened the healing time (Mean difference [MD] -16.97 days (95% CI: -32.64 to -1.29; p < 0.00001), shortened the length of hospital stay (MD= -20.11, 95% CI: -38.02, -2.20;
= 0.03), and amputation rate (MD= 0.36, 95% CI: 0.16, 0.84; p = 0.02).
APG treatment can better treat DFU in terms of duration of healing, wound healing, length of hospital stay, and amputation prevention than the standard treatment.

The discourse on the integration of science and Islam is being realised through the establishment of various Islamic religious universities in Indonesia. One of the Islamic universities that accommodates this discourse is the Al-Qur’an Science University, Central Java, Indonesia (UNSIQ). This study aims to examine the basic concept of scientific integration at the UNSIQ and critically analyses the academic tradition and research development patterns based on the Lakatos research development pattern, both of which are hard-core and auxiliary hypotheses. This research shows that the scientific base at the UNSIQ has been structured in an awareness that supports the establishment of a distinctive academic tradition and scientific culture in the framework of al-Qur’an-based academic knowledge. However, research as auxiliary hypotheses in building scientific paradigm is still limited in certain disciplines and needs to be improved. This needs to be a common concern in order to increase the scientific base of the Syajarah al-Qur’an into a solid scientific paradigm.ContributionThis research figured out that the scientific base at the UNSIQ has been structured in an awareness that supports the establishment of a distinctive academic tradition and scientific culture, but this scientific base needs to be supported by research plan and researches in various disciplines. Thus, those researches become the auxiliary hypotheses to build a particular scientific paradigm of this university.
